Employment fees
The costs range is based on hourly rates from £180 to £350 + VAT depending on which solicitor at the firm you instruct. All costs listed are exclusive of VAT (which is currently 20%)
Claim types
Simple: Wages, holiday pay, redundancy pay, failure to provide pay slips, a contract, written reasons for dismissal
Standard: Unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal, breach of contract
Complex: Discrimination, whistleblowing, equal pay, flexible working, TUPE related claims, family rights claims, restrictive covenants
Where multiple claims are pursued, the estimates are likely to reflect the higher of the relevant brackets set out below.
The below Is simply to give an indication of fees that might be incurred. Saltworks will provide you with an estimate before commencing work and update you as to the position in relation to fees on a monthly basis.
Key stages include:
Taking your initial instructions, reviewing the evidence and advising you on merits and likely compensation
Entering into early conciliation
Preparing claim
Reviewing and advising on claim or response from other party
Exploring settlement and negotiating settlement throughout the process
Preparing for a preliminary hearing
Preparing and responding to any interim applications
Where appropriate, obtaining medical evidence and instruction of experts
Exchanging documents with the other party and agreeing a bundle of documents
Preparing and agreeing a bundle of documents with the other party
Taking witness statements, drafting statements and agreeing their content with witnesses
Reviewing and advising on the other party’s witness statements
Preparation and attendance at Final Hearing, including instructions to your barrister.
